LIEBSTER Award

It has been 5 months since this blog was born. I am having my fair share of late nights and early mornings so that I can write a blog post and click pictures while my toddler son is sleeping. So when Husna Favaz from thebeautymascot.com nominated my baby blog for Liebster Award, I felt recognized and happy.

Let me quickly answer her questions and I hope you all will enjoy reading it. (Even if you did not, ahh..just say you did :P)

Q.What is one beauty tip you would love to share with all?

A.The answer to almost all hair and skin problems is Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. Period!

Q.Are you guilty of committing any beauty mistakes in the past?  If yes, what ?

A.Putting on too much of highlighter and hubby asking me if I was sweating (humiliated!!)

Q. Since I love Disney movies, I should ask this, which Disney character you think resembles you?

A.Will it be unbelievable if I said I have never watched any Disney movie Ever!! So I have no clue. Some call me Rapunzel (is she a princess??) but, I honestly have no idea. You all could suggest I guess.

Q.Micro niche blog or multi-topic blog?

A.I prefer reading micro niche blogs but, to write I like multi-topic.

Q.Time for some self promotion, what makes your blog different from other blogs in the same niche?

A.I would say each one of us happens to be completely unique. We are all a master piece in the making and our journeys are unique as well. Hence, each one of us have a different story and perspective to share. That makes each one of our blogs different. So yes, my blog is unique and different as well. I inspire, compel to think deep and motivate everyone to look, feel  and be good. I would say there is something for everyone in my blog!!

Q.Say something about the best moment in your life?

A. It was 19^th  of June 2014, a very hot afternoon when I was screaming and sweating and pushing my first ever baby out of my system. After what seemed like a century of pain, there he came out of me. The nurses placed him on my chest and said , “It is a boy!”. He stopped crying as he was placed on my chest and I was hugging him. I have never felt that kind of happiness ever in my life. The best moment in my life was seeing and holding my tiny Shaurya for the first time ever.

Q.Salt and spicy or sweet and sour?( I meant food choices :P)

A.I am a chocoholic to an extent where I can have Nutella for breakfast, lunch and dinner :p. Despite that If I had to choose I would say Salt and Spicy. But hey I also enjoy the sweet and sour. But I dislike bitterness all the way. Husna I know you wanna beat me up. I should just stop blabbering!

Q.Which is your favorite place to visit on earth and why?

A.I want to see every nook and corner of this earth. Not just a particular country or city. I am greedy to travel and appreciate everything God has created. The snow, the lakes, the autumn crunchy leaves, the desert sand, the white sand and so much more that I don’t even know exists.

Q.Share a tale or a funny incident you have heard or happened to you? Weird experiences are also accepted!

A.If you know me personally you know that I am a magnet for all things weird. So the other week we went to a mall in Dubai and I wore my new shoes. I was all decked up and started walking for a continuous 10 minutes and realized my shoe bite this time was too much for me to tolerate. We had lots to see and buy so I just decided to remove my shoes hold it on my hands and walk barefoot in the extremely fashionable mall as if I was on the beach. Yes, I embarrassed my husband. To add to that we had an extremely cranky toddler, screaming his lungs out, wanting to escape from his stroller. Don’t worry I am still married to my hubby! 😀

Couldn’t I walk into a shoe outlet and buy a shoe you may ask “Ahh..mmm..why didn’t we think of that??!!”

Q.Do you dare to go with zero makeup to a very busy or crowded place?

A.That is a big NO for me as my grey under eye gorgeousness and 99 open pores and 12987 acne marks are all reserved for my hubby’s eyes only 😀

Q. And my final question is What’s your favorite thing about blogging and who is your best blogger friend?

A.My  best blogger friend is Husna Favaz from thebeautymascot.com. She is an amazing person and I adore her helping and compassionate soul.

Now, blogging happened to me as I wanted to share my journey as a mom, wife and a woman. I desire to inspire. I wanted to reveal the good and bad and shed light on the fact that each one of us are constantly struggling with one or the other thing and it is okay to have bad days as far as you are ready to restart yourself with an attitude of gratitude. I wanted to help the new moms who had no family help. And the best thing that happened to me is I befriended a lot of inspiring women. Something I am grateful for is every now and then, I receive a picture or 2 from some amazing mommies of the DIY Grooming Kit or Organized Diaper Bag or a picky eater snacking on to Gerber snacks that I suggested. It makes me happy that I am able to make a change on a small level at least.

We all just live once and we all have a chance to make a difference in the lives of our loved ones and people around us. So why not?
