Taste and consumption
Triphala choornam or Triphala powder definitely has a bitter almost astringent taste that is not pleasant. However, in a matter of a few days, you will get used to its taste. I personally prefer having half a teaspoon of Triphala in the morning dissolved in slightly warm water (about half a cup). It is advised to have it on an empty stomach and wait 30 minutes before having a meal.
