Beating winter blues with makeup was a good idea and when I got my hair cut and got diligent with hair care this post was born.
Let me kick start the post with a lip shade I could not stop wearing especially during December and January.
Wet N Wild Megalast Lipcolor in the shade Mocha-licious
Wet N Wild Megalast Lipcolor in the shade Mocha-licious is a grungy brown shade. On my tan skin, this shade looks like a cool toned brown. I prefer to use it on top of a thin layer of lip balm as I find the formula to be a tad bit drying. Now we all know about the hype of this being an exact dupe for MAC Verve. Well, in my opinion, the shades are almost the same but, Verve has a satin texture while Mocha-licious is matte. I am not going to complain about it not lasting on my lips for more than 4 hours as the price point is superb. On my simple makeup days, I pat this baby on my lips with my forefinger in the fashion of a lip stain and slightly top it off with a lip balm. As expected, glam nights call for the full-fledged grungy brown shining through without any lip gloss or lip balm. Keep in mind that the addition of lip balm will take away from the lasting power of this lipstick. You could grab this from your nearest Carrefour for just AED 18.
Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection in Comfort Zone
Now keeping the Wet N Wild theme going this was the most used eyeshadow palette in the last few weeks. Presenting the Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection in Comfort Zone. The pros of this palette (priced at AED 39, easily blendable shades that are very pigmented) far outweigh the con of fallout. If you want to buy this baby let me give you a heads up that the updated version of Comfort Zone is out in the US and has two brown transition shades and is touted as the dupe for ABH Master Palette by Mario. I am still waiting for it to release here.
Alterna Caviar Repair RX Fill and Fix Treatment Masque
As many of you are aware of the fact that I have curly hair which I have abused recurrently with a hair straightener, it was only natural that I had to get rid of the battered fried ends. While the haircut makes my hair look healthy the reality is I do not have the buttocks length hair anymore. Anyway, long story short I am continuing my scalp nourishment with my Hair oil and I have got meticulous with weekly hair mask application. And I genuinely love this luxurious hair mask that I had to give it a shout out. Please be informed that though it was a PR sample I definitely intend to buy this for myself as a birthday present. I saw immediate results from the first use itself and let me tell you that I just used a drugstore shampoo and conditioner with it opposed to the same brand shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt smoother and shinier and I saw a considerable reduction of frizz.
